Jürgen Bauer deals with the motif of the house. He is attracted by the strong symbolism and rich metaphors of the house – the range reflects his artistic variation on the theme and his preoccupation with social norms and values, most recently under the impression of climate change, land consumption and soil sealing. Repetition is an important element of his work – whether in abstract painting and graphics or in his minimalist objects.
