House Deconstruction 55/4, Installation for the youth waiting-area of verein schranken-los, Trainstation Schwaz / Tyrol

For the train station and youth waiting room in Schwaz, Jürgen Bauer has developed a two-by-two-meter, dismantlable house object. The object, House Deconstruction 55/4, can be taken apart by the youths and used in various ways and positioned as they like within their space. By dismantling the house object, Jürgen Bauer questions traditional notions such as „if you have a house, then you are somebody.“ The mentality of house-building also manifests in the excessive consumption of land. With informational material on the continuously increasing soil sealing, which the artist provides in a reading corner he designed, the object expands into an installation.
